Dr Simon Elliott, Director, CEO

Over 25 years experience in toxicology. A Consultant Forensic Toxicologist, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Elliott Forensic Consulting Ltd (http://elliottfc.co.uk). Dr Elliott is also a Visiting Professor in Forensic Toxicology at King’s College London and is President Elect of The International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT). He was formerly the founder and Managing Director of Forensics Ltd (ROAR Forensics) in Malvern, UK and Director of Global Forensics at Abbott. Dr Elliott previously worked as a Clinical Scientist in the NHS at Birmingham City Hospital for over 10 years specifically involved in clinical and forensic toxicology as Section Head of Forensic Toxicology. Dr Elliott has authored numerous scientific papers, presented around the world and given evidence in Civil, Coronial and Criminal Courts, including high profile cases. Dr Barry Logan, Director

Over 30 years experience in toxicology. Dr Logan is Senior Vice President of Forensic Sciences, and Chief Scientist at NMS Labs, USA (http://www.nmslabs.com). Dr. Logan graduated with a BSc in Chemistry and a PhD in Forensic Medicine and Science from the University of Glasgow, and has worked in a variety of academic, public and private laboratories in post-mortem and human performance toxicology since 1987. He is Executive Director at the Center for Forensic Science Research and Education (CFSRE) at the Fredric Rieders Family Foundation in Philadelphia (https://www.cfsre.org/). Dr Logan holds academic appointments at Indiana University, Arcadia University and Thomas Jefferson University and is an author of over 170 scientific publications. Dr Logan’s major research interest is in the area of Novel Psychoactive Substances and founded the www.NPSDiscovery.org initiative to track the emergence of new drugs worldwide. Dr. Logan has received numerous national and international awards, including TIAFT’s prestigious Alan Curry Award in 2021, and in 2013-14 served as President of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. He currently serves on the White House (ONDCP) Evolving and Emerging Threats Committee.

Kerry Taylor, COO

20 years experience in toxicology. Consultant Forensic Toxicologist and Chief Operations Officer, Kerry graduated with a BSc in Biochemistry and Pharmacology from the University of Leeds. She previously worked as a Clinical Scientist in toxicology at Birmingham City Hospital and subsequently at ROAR Forensics as a Senior Forensic Toxicologist and Reporting Scientist at Cellmark Forensic Services. Kerry has published work in scientific journals and presented at national and international scientific conferences. She has many years experience of a wide range of clinical, post-mortem and criminal casework, including giving evidence in Coronial and Criminal Courts.
